4. GRADUATE SCHOOL SUMMER HOURS – 1st posting
Starting Monday, May 16, the Graduate School’s offices in the GLC will operate with summer hours, 9:00am-4:00pm daily. The summer schedule will be in effect through Friday, Jul 29. When the Graduate School is open but the GLC is closed, visitors may access Graduate School offices through the entrance door facing Squires Student Center. Immigration walk-in advising hours in the summer are MWF 1:00-4:00pm, TTh 9:00am-12:00pm. The Graduate Life Center remains accessible 24/7 to all graduate students with a valid Hokie Passport. A secure drop box is available for form submissions immediately outside GLC 120.
5. APPLICATIONS INVITED FOR GRAD HONOR SYSTEM CHIEF JUSTICE POSITION – 3rd posting
The Graduate Honor System is searching for a new chief justice for the 2016-17 academic year. Applicants must meet the following criteria: (1) be a graduate student in good standing who has been in residence for a minimum of one semester; (2) be able to serve as Chief Justice for at least one year while enrolled full-time in the Blacksburg campus. Preferably applicants should have experience as a GHS investigator or panelist. To apply, submit a statement of interest, resume, and one letter of reference to gibsonm@vt.edu by Monday, May 16. The new Chief Justice will be selected by a committee and ratified by the Graduate Student Assembly and the Commission on Graduate Studies and Policies before final appointment by the president.

11. PARTICIPANTS SOUGHT FOR EYE-TRACKER AND EEG FOR VISUALIZATION STUDY
The VT Data Science and Visualization Lab is recruiting participants for a research study involving the use of eye-trackers, brain activity/EEG sensor and mouse movement and events to evaluate visualization tools. Participants will be asked to perform predefined tasks while recording their eye gaze, cortical activity and mouse movements and events with commercial eye trackers, brain sensor and log printing system respectively. The study will occur between May 10-20, 2016 and will take about two hours of participants’ time, compensated at $15/hr. There is minimal risk involved with this study besides mild discomfort from wearing the brain sensor/EEG headset. Must be more than18 years old to participate. Volunteers are needed for a study examining how diet influences muscle metabolism. 16. PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR INFO DISPLAY STUDY – 3rd posting
The effects of different types of information display (i.e. paper-based system, head-down, and head-up display) on walking behaviors will be investigated. Participants will be asked to perform a cognitive task while walking on a treadmill. Different display types will be also used. Must be age 18-35; no current or recent history (1 year) of musculoskeletal problems; must have normal or corrected to normal vision; fluent in English; have a smartphone or experience in using smartphones. Participants will be asked to perform walking tasks with different information presentation methods in a laboratory setting in the ISE department. Two sessions (preliminary & data collection).
