4. GRAD ASSISTANT – VP FOR FINANCE SENIOR MANAGEMENT AREA – 1st posting
The VP for Finance Senior Management Area seeks a full-time (20 hr/week) Graduate Assistant to support initiatives to further automate administrative tasks using various technologies including Robotic Process Automation (RPA).   This is a 9-month appointment beginning 8/10/2019 and ending 5/09/2020. The GA will work with business process owners to document changes to current business practices and assist in process re-engineering and change management planning efforts, independently analyze business case scenarios, and work closely with the robotic process automation team to compile business requirements for processes to be automated. The successful candidate should demonstrate familiarity with basic programming constructs, knowledge of process mapping and design, experience with relational databases and query tools and ability to manipulate large sets of data. 5. RESEARCH ASSISTANT – WAGE POSITION – 2nd posting
Looking for an immediate hire. Preferred candidate will have experience with small rodents in a laboratory setting, a B.S. in a STEM field, and some laboratory/bench experience. 6. HEAD COACH – VIRGINIA TECH MEN’S CLUB LACROSSE TEAM – 2nd posting
The VT Men’s Club Lacrosse Team is looking to hire a new Head Coach!. The team is very competitive and is ranked in the Top 20 among all 250 collegiate club lacrosse teams.  It is a club team, NOT a varsity athletics team, affiliated with the Department of Recreational Sports, not with the Department of Athletics. They compete in the SELC (South Eastern Lacrosse Conference). Applicants must be able to commit to being at team practices 3-4 nights a week and traveling with the team on weekends in both the fall and spring for games & tournaments. Looking for someone with previous experience in playing or coaching lacrosse.  Compensation is commensurate with experience and is competitive with other top D-1 club lacrosse programs. 7. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR INTERVIEWS ON ACCESS-BASED SHARING ECONOMY – 1st posting
Ph.d students in the marketing department are looking for four respondents to interview this week (15th ~ 19th). This is part of a project for a summer course (Qualitative research methods.) Information may be used for future research and will be kept confidential. Before conducting interviews, participants will be given an informed consent form to sign. Interviewees will be asked about their experiences using the access-based sharing economy (e.g., Airbnb, Zipcar). It will be an hour long interview and a $20 Starbucks gift card will be provided to participants. Contact myojoong@vt.edu for more information.

8. PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR LIFTING STUDY WITH WEARABLE EXOSKELETONS – 3rd posting
Participants are sought for a research study about lifting with and without wearable exoskeletons. Must be 18-35 years old with no recent or prior musculoskeletal disorders or back injuries (at least for 12 months). A height range of 5′ 4″- 6 2′ is preferred. Should be able to comfortably lift a box (~10% of the body weight) from the floor to the waist height. Will be asked to perform a variety of lifting tasks both with and without the exoskeletons. Training session takes about 1 hour and the data collection session takes about 3-4 hours. The compensation rate is $10/hour. 9. SEEKING PARTICIPANTS FOR MOVEMENT MECHANICS STUDY – 3rd posting
The Granata Biomechanics Lab is studying the impact of race and related factors on movement mechanics. This low-risk study will involve two testing sessions (approximately 30 minutes and 90 minutes in length). Participants will receive $20 in compensation. To be eligible, participants must meet the following criteria: (1) be between 18 and 30 years old, (2) self-identify as either white American or African-American, (3) can walk without an assistive device, and (4) have not had a lower extremity injury in the past 3 months that limited your physical activity for more than 2 days. Monday, July 29, 4:45-8:00pm, Venture Out Challenge course
The Venture Out Challenge Course, a part of Recreational Sports, is a state-of-the-art high ropes challenge course that opened in Fall 2018. The course is located behind the Marching Virginian Practice Field and the Sport Clubs fields and can be seen from the Huckleberry Trail. The cost is $20 per VT student; $25 for faculty/staff; and $35 for non-VT participants. If you have already answered our survey, we will follow up with an enrollment survey shortly.
