1. STATS SHORT COURSE: LINEAR REGRESSION AND STRUCTURAL EQUATION MODELS

2. EVENING SHORT COURSES IN STATS THIS SUMMER
LISA (Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis) is providing a series of evening short courses to help graduate students use statistics in their research. The focus of these two-hour courses is on teaching practical statistical techniques for analyzing or collecting data. 3. HEALTH SERVICE ELIGIBILITY IN SUMMER
Current graduate students on campus who are not enrolled for summer but are working towards their degree and who will be enrolled in fall have two options to access services at
(1) Graduate students can pay the student health fee per summer term ($81.50/term). Summer services are identical to those offered during the fall and spring semesters.
(2) Graduate students can elect to pay a day fee ($59/visit) for service. For the person who will use
Eligible graduate students who wish to pay the health fee should first go to the Medical Records office at Schiffert to document the health fee election, then go to the Schiffert cashier (not the bursar/Student Accounts) to pay the fee by cash, check or Hokie Passport (no credit cards). 4. GSA EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT 0.5 GA POSITION NOW OPEN – 1st posting
Consider applying for a GSA Executive Assistant Position for the 2011-2012 academic year. The GSA Executive Assistant works with members of the executive board and program chairs to ensure the success of GSA programs and events. 6. DOCTORAL STUDENT EXPERIENCES SURVEY – 1st posting
Researchers at Texas A&M invite, with approval of our Graduate School, VT doctoral students to participate in a research study assessing doctoral students’ experiences in their graduate program. The survey asks questions about your attitudes, health well-being, and relationships in graduate school. The results of the survey will help researchers understand aspects of graduate students’ experiences that are going well and those that could be improved. Participation will consist of filling out an online survey that will take about 20-30 minutes. Participants will have the opportunity to enter into a voluntary prize drawing to win one of twenty $100 prizes. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary.
